This morning, your guide will pick you up from your hotel and escort you to the Citadel of Saladin, perched on Mokattam Hill and originally fortified to protect the city from the Crusaders. Within its walls stands the impressive Alabaster Mosque, also known as the Mosque of Mohammed Ali.
Your journey continues to the vibrant Khan El Khalili Bazaar, a colorful marketplace filled with traditional crafts, souvenirs, and local life.
After lunch at a local restaurant, explore Coptic Cairo. Visit El Muallaqa (the Hanging Church), uniquely built into the walls of the Roman fortress of Babylon. You will also discover the 19th-century Ben Ezra Synagogue, Saint Barbara Church, and Abu Serga Church, rich in history and spiritual significance.
At the end of the excursion, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
