On arrival to Santiago you will be met by your friendly English speaking driver guide
who will help you with your luggage and welcome you to Chile. Then they will take you
by private transfer straight to your hotel (about 45 minutes depending on traffic).
The rest of the day is at leisure. No Meals included the 1st day.
Second Day:
Today you will be shown around Santiago by one of our expert private guides. Explore
the city seeing the main sites but also experiencing some more unusual corners and
the fantastic markets.
The first stop will be at the historic Santa Lucía Hill which is where the city was
founded in 1541. It is surrounded by a beautiful park, fountains, stairways and views
from the top. From there you will continue to the París-Londres neighbourhood where
you can see some find examples of famous European architecture. Sip some coffee at
one of the notorious “café con piernas”.
After that, visit some of the most popular streets of the city, filled with history. Then
head towards the Central Market known for its cuisine and exotic fish stores. You will
also experience visiting the Vega Chica wholesale Market, a fantastic experience. It is
here you will get to try one of Chiles traditional drinks known as Cola de Mono.
One of the final stops will be at a renowned flower market filled with colourful displays
and beautiful scents.
The last activity will be a tour of the cultural Lastarria Neighbourhood before returning
to your hotel.

3rd day:
Private transfer to the airport (about 1 hour) for your flight to Calama with LATAM
airlines. Flight time is just over 2 hours.
On arrival to Calama airport you will be met and taken by shared transfer (no more
than 10 passengers) directly to your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama, a small oasis
town in the middle of the desert. After checking into your room you have some time at
leisure.
This afternoon you will be met at your hotel for your small group tour to the Death and
Moon Valleys (no more than 10 people). The incredible rock and sand formations at
these locations are otherworldly, resembling the face of the moon.
At sunset you will climb up to a viewpoint to witness the fading light turning this unique
landscape red, violet and pink. You will be returned to your hotel after dusk.

4th day:
This morning you will be met at your hotel by your guide for your small group tour (no
more than 10 people). Start the day with a trip to the the enigmatic archeological site
known as Yerbas Buenas, located 68 km from San Pedro. In this area you will be able
to see a huge variety of ancient petroglyphs carved out of the rock. Your guide will
explain the history behind these carvings. From there you continue to the fascinating
Rainbow Valley, an area surrounded by incredibly beautiful hills and attractive multicoloured rock formations. There is more than enough time here to explore this
incredible place and to take some unbelievable pictures. Stop for lunch.
After lunch you will visit Toconao; a small village known for its famous white bell tower
and where white volcanic stone sculptures are made by locals. After this you continue
to one of the highlights of the region, the Atacama Salt Lake. This is an inland sea
formed millions of years ago and an impressive sight dominated by rock formations,
crystallised salt and flamingoes. Spend the afternoon here enjoying the magnificent
scenery before returning to your hotel in San Pedro. We can add on an optional star
gazing tour this evening. The Atacama desert is one of the best places in the world for
star gazing and we highly recommend this excursion. Please let us know if you would
like us to add this to your itinerary.

5th day:
Rise early this morning before dawn to catch the sunrise. You will be met at your hotel
by your guide for this small group tour (no more than 10 people). Travel north towards
the famous El Tatio Geysers, a geothermal field surrounded by mountain peaks.
El Tatio is located at 4300 metres above sea level on the high Altiplano. It is the highest
altitude geothermal field in the world and the scenery is spectacular. At dawn you will
be able to see the powerful spurts of steam that shoot out from the geyser blowholes
and steaming ponds that are encrusted with the salt crystals.
After spending the morning here you continue to Machuca, a quaint village which was
the resting place for the llama caravans that travelled on the old Inca highway. Return
to San Pedro by lunch time for an afternoon at leisure to relax in your hotel.
TOP TIP: Make sure you bring warm clothes as it can be very cold at this altitude early
in the morning.

This morning you will be taken by shared transfer (maximum 10 passengers) to the
airport for your flight to Puerto Montt via Santiago with LATAM airlines. The flight to
Santiago is just over 2 hours and the second flight on to Puerto Montt is 1 hour 45
minutes.
On arrival to Puerto Montt you will be met at the airport and taken by shared transfer
(maximum 10 people) directly to your hotel in the pretty lakeside town of Puerto Varas
(about a 30 minute drive).
The rest of the afternoon and evening is at leisure.

Day 7
After breakfast you are met at your hotel to start your small group tour. Start by driving
along the shore of Lake Llanquihue with beautiful views and past scenic towns such as
Ensenada.
You will stop en-route to visit the Petrohué Falls. Witness these emerald coloured
waterfalls with Osorno Volcano as a dramatic backdrop. After this continue down the
road to Petrohué which is inside the Vicente Perez Rosales National Park.
From here you board a catamaran that will take you on a spectacular ride across
Todos Los Santos Lake to the town of Peulla. This is a beautiful trip on the emerald
green lake surrounded by snow capped mountains and volcanoes on either side.
There is time for lunch and some additional activities in the pretty town of Peulla before
going back to Puerto Varas by early evening.

Day 8
Today you will visit the mystical Chiloé Island on this small group excursion. Depart
after breakfast for Pargua to cross the Chacao Channel by ferry and arrive at Chiloé
Island.
From here you will visit the town of Ancud with its famous museum, the San Antonio
Fortress and the vibrant local market. Here you can shop for a variety of hand made
items and excellent seafood!
After lunch you will continue to the Penguin Islands which are located on the West
coast of Chiloé. Take a 30 minute boat trip to see the only nesting grounds in the world
where Humboldt and Magellan penguins breed side by side.
Other wildlife you may see in the area includes sea lions, pelicans, cormorants or even
whales!
Return to Puerto Varas by the evening.

Shared transfer from your hotel in Puerto Varas to Puerto Montt airport (about 30
minutes, maximum 10 passengers) for your flight to Punta Arenas with LATAM airlines.
The flight takes 2 hours and 10 minutes.
On arrival to Punta Arenas you will be met on arrival by your local guide for a city tour
of Punta Arenas. This morning you will explore the cultural and natural highlights of this
unique southern city. Your guide will teach you about its maritime and explorer history.
You will also visit a variety of monuments and points of interest including the main
square, the navy and maritime museum, the famous Roca Street, the Nao Victoria
Museum, the Patagonian Institute and of course the city’s coastline.
After some time exploring Punta Arenas you will be transferred north to the small town
of Puerto Natales located in a scenic spot on the edge of Last Hope Sound. The drive
takes about three hours. You will be dropped at your hotel to overnight here.

Today you will start out with your guide heading towards Torres del Paine National
Park, a journey of about 1 hour from Puerto Natales. Along the way you will stop to
visit the famous Mylodon Cave, mentioned in Bruce Chatwin's famous book on
Patagonia, and the place where a giant sloth lived about 12,000 years ago.
Along your journey to the park you will go pass the Amarga Lagoon and you will be
able to see a variety of local wildlife such as guanacos, grey foxes, condors, eagles,
black necked swans and rheas.
Once inside the park you will be able to admire the spectacular scenery with great
views of the Paine Massif and Almirante Nieto mountains.
Tonight you spend the night at your hotel inside the park on the edge of Lago Grey
with views of Grey Glacier itself.

This morning you have at leisure to relax or enjoy an optional excursion offered by your
hotel. Your hotel has a fantastic location overlooking the beach with the grey glacier
beyond. There are a variety of hikes available for all abilities, as well as a boat trip to

This afternoon you check out of your hotel and are taken by shared transfer back to
your hotel in Puerto Natales (about 1 hour) where you will spend the night.

This morning you will be taken back to the airport in Punta Arenas by shared transfer
(about a 3 hour drive) for your flight to Santiago with LATAM airlines which takes 3
hours 30 minutes. Please note that during high season there are options on certain
dates to fly back from the airport in Puerto Natales. Should your dates fit with these
flight schedules we will use this flight as there is a time saving.
On arrival to Santiago you will be met at the airport and taken by private transfer to the
colourful port city of Valparaíso on the coast. The drive is about 1.5 hours.
After checking into your hotel, the rest of the afternoon and evening is at leisure to
enjoy the wonderful views.

Day 13
You will be picked up at your hotel to start this gentle walking tour of Valparaiso.
Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO this important port city was once
considered “The Jewel of the Pacific“ before the opening of the Panama Canal.
You will have time to explore the downtown area, governmental buildings, Sotomayor
Plaza, Echaurren Plaza, Victoria Plaza, the town’s cathedral, the well-known harbour
area along with Prat Pier and much more.
Also visit the city’s famous colourful hills and neighbourhoods. High above the
metropolis there is a fantastic agglomeration of brightly painted houses and panoramic
views. The upper and lower parts of the city are connected with 16 funicular railways
constructed around the turn of the century. Part of this excursion will entail riding these
historical cable cars and the public trolleybus. The perfect way to enjoy the views, the
stunning architecture and the famous street art.
